Meridian Health OS
AI-first EHR for ambulatory and behavioural health.
The encounter, captured effortlessly.

What it does
An AI clinical ambient-listening assistant for healthcare providers, developed in collaboration with ECNX. It securely captures the natural conversation of a patient visit (no wake words, no dictation), transcribes it live with provider/patient speaker separation and drafts structured clinical documentation in real time: chief complaint, HPI, assessment and plan or SOAP; nursing SBAR, ED quick-note and inpatient templates for acute care. Specialty-aware, including behavioural and mental health; surfaces HEDIS-style care gaps in the co-pilot; a calming, voice-reactive interface keeps the clinician present with the patient. Providers review, edit and sign every note. Web, mobile and a HIPAA-ready compliance layer; infrastructure as code (Bicep) with a dev, staging and production CD pipeline.
Per-provider subscription priced at $249 / provider / month (~$2,988 / yr), at parity with the market leaders while adding behavioural-health templates, acute-care notes and care-gap surfacing. Published competitor pricing: Microsoft DAX Copilot $200–600, Abridge ~$2,500 / yr, Suki and DeepScribe $200–400, Nabla and Freed $99–399 per provider per month. Enterprise health-system licences and a roadmap of EHR export, automated coding/billing and ambient order capture.
Documentation is a leading cause of clinician burnout; published case studies report 1–3 hours saved per physician per day and 30–50% less after-hours charting, which is why ambient scribes are among the fastest-adopted AI tools in healthcare. In Schaide's assessment ECNX Ambient Listening matches or exceeds the incumbents feature-for-feature at a lower price than DAX or Abridge, and the behavioural-health focus targets a segment the large vendors under-serve.
